Blocking Unsolicited PopUp Windows

Blocking Popup Windows for Individual Tabs in the Main Window.

You can allow or block unsolicited Pop-up windows in one of 2 ways.

From 'Edit Link' dialog box. Right-click on a Link button. Select 'Edit Link' from the popup menu. In the 'Edit Link' dialog box, check the 'Block Auto Popup Windows' box as shown below. Click OK.
From menu 'WindowSurfer Options'. From the 'Options' menu, select ''WindowSurfer Options'. In the Options dialog box shown opposite, click on 'PopUps' tab. In the list of Link tabs, place a check mark against tabs from which you want to block Popup windows. Clear a check mark to allow Popup windows. If you want a beep to sound when a new popup window tries to popup, check the box 'Beep on finding a new Popup'. Clear the box to disable beep sound. Click OK.

Popup windows for web pages opening in a new window inherit the 'Block Popups' setting of its parent window,i.e., the new windows have the same settings as the window from which they originated.

If a check-mark shows against 'Block PopUps on Top Window' in the Options menu, it means that the PopUps originating from the top window are currently blocked. To allow popup windows to open in the current window (Window at the top), click on 'Block PopUps on Top Window' from the Options menu. This will clear the check-mark against this menu item.

Clicking on 'Block PopUps on Top Window' again will block the Popups, removing the check-mark.

Tip If you want to temporarily disable the blocking of Pop-up windows, press and hold the 'ALT ' key.
